Should students use mobile phones in classrooms?

 
Students are constantly playing phone games and unable to engage in the lessons. Can the teachers bar their them from using mobile phones?

  pundit   The fact that we have to debate this question says that teachers have lost too much of their authority. Teachers must have the power to regulate distractions in their class or our already low attention

  october   I strongly believe teachers ought to be able to ban cell phones the way they would control any other distraction a student brings to class. If teachers lose this power, what chance do they have of sustaining

Rich Lee   I always announced to the students about my policy of using phones at the first day of school. They can only use the phone outside the classroom in the hallway. I will not stop you using calculator functions.
